Final exam: Our final is at 1-3 on 5/14 in N-106. It is comprehensive. Comprehensive means that the exam may have questions on any of the material we covered this semester. We started the semester with 3.5 and finished with 8.3.

You can find your various scores on Blackboard. The weighted total is the weighted average of your homework, midterm exams, and final exam using the weights on the syllabus. That is weighted total =  0.2(online HW)+0.2(turn-in HW)+0.35(midterm exams)+0.25(final exam). This is what will determine your grade in the class. The running weighted total is the weighted average of your homework and midterm exams using the weights on the syllabus. That is running weighted total =  (0.2(online HW)+0.2(turn-in HW)+0.35(midterm exams))/0.75. You can use the running weighted total to gauge how you have been doing in the class so far. You might have noticed that the relationship between the weighted total and the running weighted total is weighted total =  0.75(running weighted total)+0.25(final exam). If your weighted total is more than 45% or your running weighted total is more than 45%/75% = 60%, you can pass the class even if you earn 0 points on the final or don't take the final at all.
